Social and Civic Engagement

 

In public libraries, engaging in the public is vital. I have had the opportunity to work with several civic groups to do fundraising, service work, and community outreach.

 

• Rotary Club of Bolivar County

  • Joined in 2013

• Spring Initiative of Clarkdale, MS

  • Assisted in fundraising for this after-school program

• Coahoma County Higher Education Center

  • Volunteered sound engineering services and equipment for joint effort lecture series with the Carnegie Public Library of Clarksdale.

• St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

  • Raised nearly $1,000 in the last two years through fundraising associated with the Warrior Dash - Mississippi.
